Comparing Packaging Materials: Kraft Paper, OPP/PE or Non-Woven?

There are many packaging materials on the market, and the wrong choice hurts both experience and cost. Here is the simplest comparison of the three mainstream types.

Kraft paper bags

Natural and eco-friendly, with structure and texture. Suited to brands that care about tone, such as coffee, bakery and gifts. Moisture resistance is limited.

OPP / PE ziplock bags

Clear, moisture-resistant and resealable — suited to small goods, hardware, accessories and e-commerce portions. OPP is stiffer; PE is tougher.

Non-woven bags

Strong, durable and reusable — suited to shopping bags, trade show bags and brand promotion.

A quick rule of thumb

  • Want texture: choose kraft paper
  • Want moisture resistance and display: choose ziplock bags
  • Want durability and reuse: choose non-woven

If you are unsure, send us the use case and Packvero will recommend something specific.
